How many times have you been pumped about a new relationship only to realize that you're repeating all the terrible choices, whether in selection or habits, that you've made in the past? Don't beat yourself up about it. It's a lot more common than you think. Planet Love Match Radio had motivational speaker/relationship coach Ryeal Simms on to break down some of the reasons we make these mistakes!
A lot of situations we face in relationships are both physical and mental things. Our fight or flight reflexes try to clue us in on red flags we come across, but a lot of people rationalize and misinterpret them. This is where you get yourself into some rough situations.
Have you ever met someone that was so wonderful that you just connected, maybe even said or felt like you had known them forever? Well, that's not always a good thing, believe it or not. There's a very strong possibility that it's your body's way of telling you that you've dated someone like them before or been in a similar situation before. This could be, and probably is, your body saying, "I'm warning you."
Try to be more cognizant of the clues your brain is trying to give you, rather than solely listening to your heart. It might spare you some wasted time and unnecessary pain along the way!
