Online relationships can only go so far. The time will come when singles must meet in person to see if their internet chemistry continues offline. If love interests live many miles apart, this can be an excellent opportunity for a vacation!
Travelers are always looking for ways to save money and now the LGBT community can see significant savings by reserving rooms with Preferred Pride.
"Preferred Pride is more than just another LGBT seal of approval; the program was created to unite Preferred's diverse community of independent hoteliers who are committed to the LGBT community," said Rick Stiffler, Preferred Hotel Group executive director. "It is a global initiative that enables hoteliers to learn about and better understand the needs and preferences of the LGBT traveler.”
All hotels are either TAG approved (Community Marketing's Travel Alternative Group) or belong to IGLTA (International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association).
Some employ trained concierges to stock rooms with bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries to benefit same sex couples, offer suggestions for area attractions, dining, and nightlife, as well as provide publications to suit specific guests’ interests.
Plus, some hotels also include special services, such as complimentary meals, spa visits, resort credit, welcome cocktails, and late check-out.
There are nearly 100 hotels participating in this program all over the world. See if your special someone lives near one and start planning your visit, or take a vacation somewhere together!
