When writer / editor Kirsten Palladino was getting ready to marry her graphic designer girlfriend, she was bothered by the lack of wedding planning information available for gays and lesbians. So the pair decided to launch their own online magazine for engaged LGBT couples.
Equally Wed offers the latest in fashion, beauty and grooming trends, honeymoon articles, wedding inspiration ideas, and the latest news in marriage equality.
"Real Gay Weddings" showcases ceremonies from all over the world, while "Local Resources" serves up a marketplace of gay-friendly wedding vendors. From ring shopping and proposing to tying the knot and living happily ever after, new posts are added daily.
Couples also benefit from the "Ask Kirsten" column in case their gay wedding etiquette questions aren't answered elsewhere in the magazine. Readers also send in their romantic proposal stories.
Currently considered a quarterly magazine, Equally Wed will begin publishing monthly issues in February. The Equally Wed Shop will start offering merchandise soon as well.
