The standard date night activities include dinner, a movie, and maybe a few drinks at a local bar. However, you don’t have to spend all your time indoors. Here are four fun things you can do outside after the sun sets and the stars come out.
Own a telescope? Grab your date and spend a pleasant evening gazing at the stars and identifying heavenly bodies. Of course, you don’t need a telescope or knowledge of astronomy to have a good time. You can also spread a blanket in your backyard and gaze up at the night sky with your date. A nice bottle of wine or beer is a great addition.
Stroll Along the Beach
The beach is beautiful at night, particularly when the moon is full or the night sky is crystal clear. Why not enjoy the beauty of nature by taking a leisurely stroll along the beach? If you’re feeling particularly saucy, you might even enjoy a nude swim in the ocean. The beach is also an ideal place to look at the sky and search for shooting stars.
Have a Bonfire
This date requires an empty plot of land and a stack of wood, but if you have the resources why not light up a bonfire and spend the evening roasting hotdogs, making smores, and telling spooky stories. A bonfire date is great for people who live in the country and/or those who enjoy spending time outside.
Though this idea isn’t ideal for new couples or those who dislike the outdoors, an overnight camping trip can be great fun for men and women who want to get away. You can choose to truly rough it or stay in a campground offering modern showers and facilities. If you’re not sure where to go, research campgrounds online and plan a trip according to your preferences.
The 2012 Harvest Moon is this weekend (September 29 and 30)! Enjoy the beautiful night sky with one of the four simple night date ideas listed above.
