Dating, whether online or in person, is always a difficult thing to do. Being a single parent can make that task even more difficult. Who has the time when you are working, taking the kids to school, making lunches, cleaning, helping with homework, and putting the kids to bed? When the day is finally over, you are exhausted.

Well, don’t push dating off until the kids are out of the house. With a little advice, you can be on your way to finding your match in no time.

Time Management

You have a lot to get done in just 24 hours. At times it can get overwhelming. How do you add dating into the mix? Start with making a list of everything you need to do, even if it is the smallest item. When you accomplish the task, just cross it off the list. Getting a visual of what you have already accomplished that day and what you still need to do is a great motivator to keep yourself going. Next, make sure you set some time aside for online dating. Whether half an hour or 45 minutes, set it aside to log in to Planet Love Match and browse our members, answer emails, or relax chatting with a suitor. It may not seem like very long, but it can and will make a difference.

Interruptions

Single parents are constantly being interrupted for a variety of reasons. Someone is hungry or thirsty, wants to watch a movie, play a game, or go outside. So how can you expect to have a meaningful conversation with someone with all of these interruptions? And won’t the other party get annoyed? Well first of all, inform the other party that you may get interrupted by your child(ren). They should understand, and if they don’t perhaps they are not good matches for you anyway. Next, if and when you do get interrupted, tell the other party that you must leave the computer for a few minutes. Take all the time you need. When you come back, tell them about what happened. It opens up a whole new horizon when it comes to conversations.

Get a Babysitter

Online dating has come to a whole new era of technology. Webcams allow you to see and interact with your match face to face, and the Safecall feature allows you to talk to your match without having to give out personal contact information. So why not, if you start getting serious with someone, get a babysitter for the night and stay in? This way you will have no interruptions and can go on a virtual date; share a romantic phone call or live video session together.

So you see, being a single parent does not count you out of the online dating scene! So get out there and try out Planet Love Match today!
