As little girls we grow up watching the helpless female leads in Disney movies get rescued and/or swept of their feet by a man who’s not only good looking, charming and sweet; he’s also a prince or some other form of accomplished.

While the usual romantic hot spots are preparing for a busy day of catering to cute couples, other places are hosting anti-Valentine’s Day parties for singles. Have you been dreaming of the day that the curious online community known as Craigslist gets made into a musical? Well, that delightful day as come. Ridiculous yet moving is how co-writer Veda Hille describes Do You Want What I Have Got? A Craigslist Cantata, which premieres this weekend at Vancouver's PuSh International Performing Arts Festival.
Along with broadcaster Bill Richardson, Hille made songs out of real ads on the classifieds site and compiled them for an 85-minute musical show.
"We've ended up going with a 'plot' that starts with ads for things, moves through into situations (pets, roommates, etc.), and ends in the epic search for love," says Hille.
