While I realize that my question up there seems like a no-brainer, I’ve been kind of grappling with the idea of dating someone who is, for all intents and purposes, a nice guy, but who I’m not really that interested in. Living in a big city, there’s plenty of men to date. Unfortunately, that also means there’s a higher concentration of ones who are not so great at being nice, upstanding human beings. Such is the case of someone I was recently seeing, who took it upon himself last week to end things via text message. Anyone I’ve discussed this with has had the same sentiment--that the guy is a jerk for doing so, but mainly because too much time had elapsed between the first date and that fateful text message. This got me to wondering how long does it remain “okay” for someone to use that format of communication to carry out so-called “break up” business?
